si los dos últimos LP's de la banda son lo mejor con el Iowa es que prácticamente están compuestos por Corey y el nuevo baterista, sobretodo el Gray Chapter, en el WNTYK si que compone prácticamente toda la banda.

Esto no es cierto. Al menos en The Grey Chapter, el que pillo las riendas de la composición en buena parte fue Jim Root.

En esta entrevista viene a decir que se tuvo que poner a componer para ese disco porque nadie más en el grupo quería hacerlo en ese momento. Otra cosa es que luego en los créditos salga el nombre de Corey porque es quién escribe las letras.

Yo tenía entendido que Jay había venido de la cuerda de Corey y que se habían puesto mano a mano con la composición del álbum, o eso leí en su momento.

Si estuvo involucrado Root a tope mejor, es un pedazo de guitarrista.

No había leído esa entrevista. Muy interesante el paso al frente de Jim Root en la composición.

Buen video. Emociona, sobre todo las partes con Paul.

Yo aún sigo afectado por su muerte... Es posiblemente el batería que más me ha marcado.

Llevo días viendo videos en directo suyos y me han dado hasta ganas de rescatar el DVD "Disasterpiece"...

Menudo palo.

Me da la casualidad que desde que lo echaron, no he vuelto a oír a Slipknot y lo poco que he oído me echa para atrás.

Me jode que se muera un pedazo de artista, que Slipknot este donde esté gracias a él (muy probablemente) y que sólo se dediquen a poner un cuadrado negro en sus perfiles.

Todavía me acuerdo de verlos en directo en Donosti, y fue uno de los conciertos más brutos que he ido.

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has been winding down tracking his parts for the band’s highly-anticipated seventh studio album. Speaking recently as part of a virtual interview recorded for this year’s ‘Galaxy Con‘, Taylor, who is recovering from COVID-19, revealed that he has roughly three songs left to finish recording.

He said of that:

“I was actually supposed to finish my vocals this week. I got screwed, man, [by the COVID diagnosis]. I actually only have really three songs left to do. I’ve done all the other tracks because I’ve been doing ’em in between tours, just fucking hitting it.”

Speaking of the direction of the new material, Taylor offered:

“I actually like this one better than the last one. I loved the last one. It’s really good. There’s some darker, heavier shit on it. There’s some tunes that are actually really outside the realm of what we’ve done before. But it all fucking coheses together — it all works together. And there’s some fucking savage heavy shit, which I’m really stoked on. So it’s gonna be rad.”

Un nuevo disco de Slipknot sin Corey anunciando la mierda más oscura y más pesada no sería lo mismo
