1. very official studies showed that it might be the best DeWolff song ever 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓
2. the amazing Ian Peres (ex-Wolfmother) joined us on bass guitar and added some serious low-end dynamite to this mean track 🐺 🧨
3. the wonderful miss Judy Blank joined us on background vocals 👩‍🦱🦕
4. the brand new video by Christiaan Kanis for this track even makes us L👀K pretty darn good playing it! 💎
You see... we're nice guys and we always try to be modest, but when it comes to Yes You Do we really can't find any reason for modesty 😂
But seriously folks: in Yes You Do we tried to combine all the best elements of what makes us the band that we are. 6 minutes of brotherly vocal harmonies, a blistering synth/Hammond solo, greasy guitar riffs, extremely funky drum grooves... and we wrote it in a Zoom meeting! Ain't that something? Without further ado, DeWolff proudly presents: YES YOU DO 🏆

Está bien el adelanto, pero con este grupo me pasa como con tantos salidos del revival sesentero-setentero: agradables, pero sin mucho recorrido. Un par de escuchas y a lo próximo.

Que no está mal, cada música tiene su espacio y su tiempo. Simplemente, eso.

Dentro del rollo 70s de estos últimos años los mejores son Graveyard y Rival Sons, pero estos chicos no se quedan atrás. Sobre todo si les ves en directo puedes flipar bastante. Yo les ví el febrero pasado y sin duda es el mejor que he podido ver en 2020 (ya sé que no es complicado, pero bueno )

= NONAGON MARATHON =

Last Friday we took y’all on a trip back to the 1970s with our streaming show to celebrate the release of our brand new album Wolffpack. We can’t go on the road to promote it though, and so while we were sitting around, reminiscing about old times and getting a little nostalgic, we came up with a cool little idea. What if we made a time machine that will take you to 2008 -the release of our first EP- and then all the way from our 2009 album “Strange Fruits & Undiscovered Plants” to Wolffpack in 2021. Nine albums, nine shows, nine days… We proudly present to you: DeWolff’s Nonagon Marathon!

In the past 13 years we’ve written and recorded over a hundred songs that led us all over the world: from Pinkpop to Sziget, from Berlin to Sydney and from Madrid to Jakarta and everywhere in between. Some of these songs we only played for a short amount of time, some of these songs we never even played live, ever. But during these 9 Nonagon Marathon shows we will play every known DeWolff song: we’ll play every album integrally! So this is your ultimate chance to see us play some of those rare songs from Orchards/Lupine or DeWolff IV or any other DeWolff abum… An album a day keeps the madness away!

= NEW RECORDINGS =

That’s it! In the last 13 days, in France, we recorded 12 songs with 11 musicians live to tape, with no overdubs. Then we mixed these songs to another tape, with the three of us and sound master Christophe Chavanon dancing around the console and @soundfackery manning the Studer J37 master recorder (that had to constantly be running in order for us to hear what we’re doing). We spent 2 weeks in a beautiful parallel musical universe: eating, drinking, sleeping, laughing and creating together. We came in with 12 ideas and left with 4 tapes loaded with some of the coolest music we ever recorded 😍 now these tapes will be send to a mastering engineer who will cut it straight to a laquer that will be used for pressing vinyl 🤩

It was such an intensely awesome experience and we’re very sad to leave this magical place that @kerwax_studio is 😥 thanks so much Christophe and Marie for your love & hospitality and hopefully à bientôt!
