When drowning in the appropriate sound, you find yourself achieving the same fundamental effects in your soul as coming up for air has on the body. Caspian is that appropriate sound. An instumental rock band from Beverly, Massachusetts, USA formed in Autumn of 2003, these five young men have crafted a sound that is immediately riveting, emotionally devastating, and achingly passionate. Characterized by towering walls of sound, oceanic guitar work and vicious rythymic elements, Caspian is a band that knows how to imbed itself within the part of you that refuses to easily surrender. Take a walk around the bands home co-ordinates and you might find some clues. Tan stretches of sand and the infinite blue horizon of the Atlantic might be bigger influences here than anything else. The jam packed seasonal cycle might explain the bands desire to cover everything from gentle and placid to furious and destructive, all while maintaining a unified musical sensibility, and a fierce sense of adventure. Live in an area like this and you're bound to create something hopeful, inspiring and downright massive. Caspian wants to bring you to places like this and to places we all havent seen yet. Since playing their first show in August of 2004, Caspian have toured the United States 5 times supporting their internationally released and acclaimed records, 2005's "You Are The Conductor" (EP) and their stunning 2007 debut "The Four Trees", a landmark record for the genre that SPIN magazine heralded as an album that "...transcends post-rock cliches with meticulously crafted songcraft". Rencently the band released a split album with Constants as well. With headlining performances at the 2008 SXSW Music festival in Austin, Texas, continually sold-out appearances at home, and a constantly growing base of extremely committed fans, Caspian finally brings their thunderous brand of instrumental rock to Europe in the Autumn of 2008.?

Tras la disolución de dos experimentados grupos de la escena bilbaína a finales de 2005, llega el momento de abrir nuevos caminos, tocar con otros musicos. Asi nace Mirage. (50% Fomalhaut, 50% Ximel) En principio la unica intencion de la banda es adentrarse en un terreno poco investigado en sus proyectos anteriores, como es la musica paisajistica y ambiental. A medida que se avanza en la composición, se plasma en la banda la inquietud por buscar nuevas texturas, nuevas estructuras, dejar que los temas fluyan por si solos, y dar rienda suelta a la improvisación, evolucionando cada vez mas hacia una musica puramente instrumental, donde el peso ritmico de la cancion cobra una importancia especial.
