El último disco de Pantera, Reinventing The Steel, reflejó una reivindicación de todo lo que el grupo amaba del heavy metal. En plena época del nu-metal, el enfoque de vuelta a las raíces del disco sobrevoló la tendencia del momento para recordar a los fans el perdurable poder del metal más primario. El disco cumple este año su 20 aniversario y Rhino lo celebrará con dos nuevas ediciones que incluyen una mezcla inédita del productor Terry Date.
La versión 3CD incluye una nueva edición remasterizada del álbum y una selección de rarezas. Entre las rarezas se pueden encontrar radio edits (“Revolution Is My Name”, “Goddamn Electric”), versiones (Black Sabbath’s “Electric Funeral” y “Hole In The Sky”, Ted Nugent’s “Cat Scratch Fever”), contribuciones a bandas sonoras (“Avoid The Light”, “Immortally Insane”) y versiones instrumentales de cada canción del disco. Esta versión se publicará también en formato digital el 30 de octubre.
"Reinventing The Steel: 20th Anniversary Edition" también se podrá adquirir en una edición doble de vinilo plateado con la mezcla de Terry Date y una selección de ocho rarezas. A la venta el 8 de enero.
