From Terrence Malick, the acclaimed director of such classic films as Badlands, Days of Heaven and The Thin Red Line, The Tree of Life is the impressionistic story of a Midwestern family in the 1950's. The film follows the life journey of the eldest son, Jack, through the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years as he tries to reconcile a complicated relationship with his father (Brad Pitt). Jack (played as an adult by Sean Penn) finds himself a lost soul in the modern world, seeking answers to the origins and meaning of life while questioning the existence of faith. Through Malick's signature imagery, we see how both brute nature and spiritual grace shape not only our lives as individuals and families, but all life.

Llevo esperando el estreno de esta peli unos tres años, ha tenido muchos retrasos y demas.

Pinta muy bien, y ademas tiene un elenco cojonudo .

Pues no he pillado de qué va....

Tiene pintas de ser otra más del palo "La Fuente de la Vida", "El curioso caso de Benjamin Button" o "Mr Nobody", o sea de las (medio) filosóficas que tratan sobre la vida en sus distintas facetas... me encantan

Tiene una pinta muy grande, y ya era hora de que la sacaran, que la llevan retrasando...

Dicen que es la favorita en Cannes este año, por lo menos la que más gente quiere ver (me incluyo). Tengo que ojear la filmografía de Malick, pero con cuatro películas seguro que lo hago rápido.

Del señor Mallick me espero cualquier cosa. Lo único que es seguro será el endiosamiento que por parte de la mayoría de los medios. A poco que lo haga bien se pasea por Cannes o los Oscars coleccionando premios.

PD: A mi "el nuevo mundo" me gusta bastante.
