Between the Buried and Me - The Parallax:Hypersleep Dialogue

Some interesting details have been revealed regarding Between The Buried And Me‘s upcoming new album “The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues“. The effort, which is due out on April 12th through Metal Blade, will be the first installment in a two album conceptual story arc.

According to band guitarist Paul Waggoner:

“The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues” will introduce two human characters who live in different planes of existence, separated by millions of light years. We find that each is confronted with similar personal issues that they need to reckon with. Both characters make decisions that will change their lives, and perhaps the course of the universe, forever.

Musically, it sounds like Between The Buried And Me. The record has elements of aggression, beauty, quirkiness, and pure cacophony. For “Part 1″, we establish several themes which I’m sure will be revisited in the lengthier “Part 2″, which is something we really look forward to. We love to expand on simple ideas and see where they take us.”

Between The Buried And Me has built their reputation as one of hard rock's most inventive and ambitious bands. On March 29th through Victory Records, the "Best Of" from Between The Buried And Me will lay testament to this band's prolific history.

The compilation CD/DVD release contains 20 songs spanning their impressive career, including songs from The Silent Circus, Alaska, Colors, Colors-Live and The Great Misdirect as well as 5 bonus tracks never before released on CD.

The DVD portion of the release will feature music videos for "Moredecai," "Alaska," "Obfuscation," and "Synesthesia." All of this and more comes in an interactive package that uses a spectral decoder to unveil hidden messages and special imagery - a must have for any BTBAM fan.
