Stone Temple Pilots preparando un nuevo disco

Lo que me sigue pareciendo un milagro es que Weiland, con toda la mierda que se ha metido, no haya acabado como, entre otros, Layne Staley.

Yo no se que esperar de estos tios a dia de hoy pero viendo como ha vuelto Pearl Jam y que los hermanos De Leo siempre tienen alguna buena idea quizás sorprendan con algo bueno. Lo de enero yo tb lo dudo...

Es un yonki con una fuerza interior tremenda, para acabar con él es necesario demasiada tralla y creo que la sabe quemar bien...pero le pasará factura, eso seguro.

Para mí se les acabó la gasolina hace tiempo pero pueden sacarse un temazo en cualquier momento. No se que pensar pero por supuesto les daré una escucha.

Porque ya el Tiny music me pareció flojillo y el último no digamos... y velvet revolver un coñazo.

Tengo mas fe en los De Leo que en Weiland que debe haberse destrozado el coco a base de basura.

Bien, alguien más que piensa que los VR era un coñazo supino.......

A mi el disco en solitario que saco hace poco Weiland me pareció muy bueno, de hecho diria que la primera mitad es soberbia. No suena a STP, eso si, es mas tranquilote y "bowiano".

Por cierto, tengo una paranoia montada desde hace mucho con que los dos ultimos discos de Life of agony son los que no han logrado sacar STP desde Purple(o el Tiny Music, siendo generoso). Para mi hay canciones que podrian ser de STP perfectamente.

Ya pera esa canción la hicieron hace más de 15 años. Yo tengo mis dudas acerca de lo que puedan ofrecer, no espero gran cosa la verdad...

Y sobre Weiland, ya lo he dicho muchas veces, el tio es camaleónico para cantar como Vedder, Morrsion o Bowie y carece de personalidad y estilo propio pero es capaz de sacarse melodias maravillosas

Pues en mi opinión el tiny music... es un discazo de principio a fin.Lo compré en su día y muy orgulloso de haberlo hecho.Me encantan todos sus temas , uno de los discos que más he disfrutado.Es muy guitarrero, y aunque suene iconoclasta yo hasta diría que es mi favorito
Ahora bien , si hablamos de los más recientes,sobre todo el Shangri-las y No.4 estoy totalmente de acuerdo en que flojean y son absolutamente prescindibles

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS NEARLY FINISHED WITH NEW ALBUM

Scott Weiland has some good news for fans who’ve waited for eight years for new music from the reunited Stone Temple Pilots. “We’re almost finished,” he tells Spinner of the eagerly awaited Don Was-produced album. “There will probably be 11 songs on the record and we have nine completed already. Then you have to have B-sides for Japan, the UK and the rest of Europe, so we’ll probably record 14 songs total.”

The band apparently has found the same groove they brought to the reunion tour when getting back into the writing and recording. “It’s always been easy. We have a method that we use and it’s pretty basic,” Weiland says. “For the most part, Robert and Dean [DeLeo] write the instrumental riffs and then amongst the three of us we arrange the songs and then I write all the melodies and the lyrics.”

While Weiland wouldn’t spill on any song titles yet, he is already looking ahead to playing the music live. “Yeah, there’s a lot of songs that we’re excited about because we just finished a long tour where we were playing the hits from all five records,” he says. “It’ll make it a lot more fun and gratifying because I know the fans love to hear the hits, but it’s a more fun playing stuff you just wrote.”

That’s not to say the band hasn’t been able to breathe some new life into the STP classics. “I think with ‘Plush’ I sing it a little more soulfully, it’s got a little bit more of an R&B approach to the way I do the vocal than the initial recording,” he says. “But songs evolve and the interpretations of the song evolve. ‘Lounge Fly’ has a feeling that’s a little bit different, and that was on our second album, ‘Purple.’”

Still, Weiland is sympathetic to the fact that people who come to hear the hits want to be able to recognize them, because that’s how he feels as a fan. “Personally, when I go see a band play, I appreciate the artistic license to change arrangements up, but I think people still want to hear songs that are true to the way they sounded on the record,” he says. “And you want it to sound good. When people change songs too much, it changes the feel and sometimes changes the emotion you get from the song. And so we don’t really change things too much.”

A mí me gustan todos los discos, incluídos los 2 últimos que me parecen magníficos a pesar de lo que digáis algunos. A mí al principio tampoco me entraron muy bien algunos temas, pero con el tiempo me acabaron molando bastante. Por gustarme, me gustaron hasta los de VR y los de AOA (y bastante también).

A ver qué tal está el nuevo y si logran un nivel parecido al del último de AIC. Y si se marcan una gira juntos, mejor que mejor.

¿Enero 2010? Apuesto a que este disco no sale hasta Junio.

Pues va a ser que tienes razón porque, si no, ya sabríamos algo........
tengo esperanzas en lo que saquen estos nenes......(igual es porque me gustan demasiado??)

Además enero no es un mes muy bueno para el lanzamiento de un disco.

Por qué?

pues es muy bueno porque ya esta a la vuelta de la esquina....

El otro dia estuve escuchando el Interstate love song, gente que ha sido capaz de parir ese temazo es capaz de todo... por otro lado veo como se me han caído casi todos los ídolos y me puede el escepticismo.

Como con AIC una vez mas tengo que recurrir a la FE.
