Bueno, aparte de que fijo que habrá mas musica por parte de United nations, hay noticias del nuevo proyecto de Geoff:

Yo desde luego intento no pensar en el "hiato/separacion/loquesea" de Thursday, por que cada vez que lo hago es como si me arrancaran el corazon, o me pegaran una patada en los huevos.

Proyecto del bateria junto a miembros de Garrison, Texas Is the Reason, y Milhouse.
Tienen un EP y un disco editado de este año (este grupo al parecer lleva formado de hace tiempo, asi que no sé si el bateria seguirá ahora con este grupo durante el hiato de thursday o que...)

Proyecto del guitarra de Thursday (el que no está ancho de huesos) el bateria y el teclista. Al parecer hacen algo mas oscurete y tranquilo tirando para el shoegaze. El proyecto está desde hace tiempo aunque yo no he encontrado mucha mas información o música, asi que podria ser un de los proyectos que retomen ahora en el hiato de Thursday.

El frontman de Thursday Geoff Rickly ha confirmado vía Twitter que la superbanda de screamo United Nations está preparando nuevo material y ha preguntado a sus seguidores con quien les gustaría que hiciesen una gira.

Bueno, esto hace la separación de Thursday mucho menos amarga.

El EP no me llamó mucho, pero el disco me encantó, así que a ver que sacan.

Al menos nos quedan estos. Esperando con ansia lo que sea, tanto el disco como el ep me parecieron muy, muy buenos.

(Que por cierto, de los demás integrantes como ya dije, lo único que conozco es que el batería esta en I hate our freedom. Recomendables, tienen dos discos con un sonido post-hardcore 90 /rock. Como unos fugazi pero en plan mas rockeros y menos idos de olla.)

Qué coño, tengo muchas más ganas de lo que pueda caer por parte de United Nations que cualquier cosa que Thursday fuese a sacar. Las cosas como son pero No devolucion no me interesa nada.

Here is the first piece of my solo recordings. It’s called Mixtape 1 and its available for a free download here:

The Mixtape format is meant to be a casual way to try out some new things. There are some brand new songs, along with a cover and a rewrite of one of my oldest favorites. The majority of it was recorded in my apartment in the middle of Hurricane Sandy and the song New Sympathies, in particular, reminds me of those heavy winds and deep waters.

There are no strings attached, no hidden marketing games. This doesn’t reflect my belief that music should be free or any desire to revolutionize an industry. I just want to do this myself, for now. No art-by-committee, no selling music. Just me & my friends at home, making songs(bedroom songs, songs not too polished up). I’ll keep making more of these and giving them to you when I finish. Maybe someday I’ll make a proper record and sell it. Maybe not.

As an added note, My Favorite Blue Raincoat is a response to the Leonard Cohen song, “Famous Blue Raincoat.” The friend that he’s writing to, in the original song, is writing back here.

I need to thank Don Devore, Brendan Tobin, Brooks Tipton, Tom Keeley and Anthony Green, for helping me to make this and, of course my Thursday and United Nations family.
