KATLA are the conceptual and musical brainchild of vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Einar Thorberg Gu∂mundsson (FORTÍÐ, POTENTIAM) and former SÓLSTAFIR-drummer and visual artist Gu∂mundur Óli Pálmason. The duo deliberately took their name from one of the most active and feared Icelandic volcanoes to manifest that the external part of their inspiration relates to the islands ever-changing landscapes and subpolar climate. Void Paradigm have been wandering the French underground for several years now, with members coming from different experiences and bands (Sordide, Ataraxie and Bethlehem, among others) . Void Paradigm call their black metal dodecatonic,as Payan often relies on a twelve-scale composition technique, a method of composing with twelve tones which are related only with one another developed in the early XX Century. As Payan puts it: “As I try to experiment new ways of making black metal, I sometimes write the music literally on the desk and not searching for riffs on the guitar. I have a classical composition education so I try to compose like this, writing before playing, in order to break the automatic riffing and to try and go somewhere else”.

El nuevo de Insidious Disease, un supergrupo death metal old school que cuenta con la participación de Marc Grewe (Morgoth), Shane Embury (Napalm Death), Silenoz (Dimmu Borgir), Cyrus (Susperia) y Tony Laureano (ex Nile y mil más). Como los de Nuclear Blast no creen en Bandcamp, solo puedo poner este vídeo, pero el CD entero ya rula.

¿Merece la pena? Escuché hace tiempo un par de adelantos y me gustaron más bien poco. Pero si me dices que mola le doy un chance.

Yo le estoy dando fuerte al nuevo de Draconian. Si alguien no les conoce, hacen una especie de death doom gótico con una voz gutural masculina y otra melódica femenina (para mí, es la clave de grupo), por resumirlo rápidamente. Además, con este tiempo otoñal entra de vicio.

El de Void Paradigm me ha llamado mucho la atención, lo poco que he escuchado suena muy bien. A ver si lo suben a Spotify, que me da mucha pereza escuchar discos en Bandcamp cuando voy por ahí.

Bandaza de death melodico, y son de aqui. Buenisimo el nuevo disco.

Me estoy apuntando una lista para repasar vuestros top, porque os juro que no os puedo seguir el ritmo, pero ni un poco.

El de Ulcerate lo he intentado por cachos pero uff. Me moló mucho el sonido del Vermis, pero es que todo es demasiado denso. Metal extremo en general como no se como Der weg ein freiheit o Panopticon muchos no me llegan a entrar.
