Vennart - In The Dead, Dead Wood (2020) (ex-Oceansize)

Probably best known as the frontman and one of the guitarists of Oceansize, Mike Vennart's slightly raspy, crooning voice is one of thetrademark characteristics of Oceansize's sound.Well respected for their progressive soundscape, Oceansize have gained a cultfollowing, although never reaching into the realms of mainstream success. Following Oceansize's demise in 2011, Vennart continued towork on other projects.In 2012, he released two EPs as British Theatre with former bandmate "Gambler", while releasing their debutstudio effort "Mastery" in 2016.Mike Vennart has also released a solo album "The Demon Joke" in 2015 as Vennart, featuring former bandmatesSteve Durose and Gambler as part of his studio and touring ensemble.He also tours with Biffy Clyro as a guitarist since a couple ofyears.Currently, he is working on his second Vennart outing.In early 2017, he released "Target: '15", his first live album, which featuresover 3 hours of footage taken from his shows in 2015. Among several Vennart songs from his debut "The Demon Joke", some classicsongs from Oceansize and a full performance of British Theatre at ARCTangent Festival are featured.
