¿Nadie le ha echado una ojeada al último disco de Mariusz con su banda paralela? Por lo general detesto los sonidos folk y con inspiración de la música tradicional escandinava, pero es que este hombre ya no sólo deja el listón altísimo con Riverside sino que se supera así mismo en solitario recogiendo influencias de lo más dispares, entre ellas la música más arriba citada.

Muy recomendable echarle un tiento a esto, sobretodo en su edición especial, que viene con "Transition II", 28 minutos para ir desgranando y disfrutando a la vez, continuación de aquella pieza maravillosa que ya nos regaló hace tiempo.

Lo escuché esta mañana y no está mal, pero tampoco me ha matado de primeras. Le daré otra oportunidad más concentrado.

Voy a poner un vídeo de Mariusz tocando el piccolo bass que está bastante guapo, para el que sea un poco freak de los instrumentos. Toca algunas cosas del nuevo disco.

Es un disco más reposado y alegre que los anteriores, mas introspectivos y oscuros, me encanta que haga música tan diferente a lo que suele hacer con Riverside, una de mis bandas predilectas de los últimos años.

Lo que no se puede negar es que este señor es un artista como la copa de un pino, sólo con escuchar los casi diez minutos de Summoning Dance merece la pena tener el disco en la estantería, vaya jodida maravilla. Al principio, como he dicho, me ha echado para atrás cuando ha recogido elementos folk, pero el tío destila tanta clase que es imposible no caer rendido a sus pies.

El video con el bajo ya lo había visto, va sobrado, una maravissha.

Ayer lo estuve escuchando y no me cuadraba, porque lo había confundido con Lunatic Calm, un grupo que salía en la banda sonora de Matrix.

Le pegaré otra escucha viendo lo que comentáis

Los últimos de Riverside son un tremendo coñazo y esto también.

Le eché una escucha ayer y tiene momentos chulos. Eso si, me sigue pareciendo oscuro como el último de Riverside. Todos los momentos que se suponen acústicos y algún ritmo más contundente lo hace con ese bajo? Porque si es así el disco gana, hay momentos que parecen guitarras acústicas...

He escuchado los adelantos y Naive y The Passanger me han atraído bastante. Le meteré una buena escucha.
