Paradise Lost have just released details about their next studio album. Their fourteenth disc will be called ‘The Plague Within’ and it’ll come out stateside on June 2, with a European release the day before.
In a post on their Facebook page, the group talked about their upcoming effort. “We have written a very dark, yet melodic album,” state the band. “But this time many songs definitely have a death metal edge, which is something we haven’t done for a long, long time in Paradise Lost.”
Thanks to another post from the band on Facebook, we also know that they are currently in the mixing phase of the new disc and they’ve promised to keep us all updated on their progress via their Facebook page.
Paradise Lost released their last album, ‘Tragic Idol’ in 2012. That critically-acclaimed effort landed at No. 2 on the U.K. Rock Charts and was the first album to feature Adrian Erlandsson on drums. Frontman Nick Holmes has kept himself busy since that release. Besides touring with the group in support of the effort, he signed-on to be the vocalist for Bloodbath in 2014. He appeared on Bloodbath’s fourth full-length record, ‘Grand Morbid Funeral’ which came out in November of last year.
Estaremos al loro después del gran Tragic Idol.
