Gira de 20 aniversario... y por lo que parece también de despedida.

It’s our honor to announce that we’ll be ending our 20th Anniversary by taking Full Collapse and War All the Time on the road, for a very limited US tour, in early 2019. When we reunited the band, two years ago, we had no idea that it would carry us through our 20th year or that we’d be selling out every show that we play in 2018. It’s been a very gratifying and humbling year for us. This tour is our attempt at saying ‘thank you’ to all of the people around the US that have supported us for all these years. We’ll be playing small venues, like we did when we began touring. At the conclusion of this tour, we intend to put an end to ‘the reunion.’ When we stopped playing last time, it wasn’t on the best of terms. This time, we get to put down touring on the very highest of notes: in each other’s lives and able to pick up and play together behind closed doors whenever we want. If we are ever able to do Thursday again, it will be a new, separate chapter. Thank you all for your time, attention and friendship.

Pues nada, que rabia, parecía que se iban a poner las pilas con algo nuevo. Al menos No Devolución es el discazo para finalizar su carrera. Lo peor es no poder haberlos visto en vivo.

Siempre recordaré aquella maravilla de concierto abriendo para Rise Against. Se me hizo cortísimo. Pocas veces he visto a una banda "telonera" comerse con patatas tan descaradamente al grupo principal. Lo que viene a ser un "steal the show" de manual

Over the last four years, Thursday has been fortunate enough to have performed unforgettable Holiday Shows in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Long Island, Maryland, Brooklyn and Southern California.
After sharing the joy of being on stage together again for Signals V1, we became very determined to do a virtual show this holiday season. So it is with great pleasure that we are able to announce that we will be broadcasting Signals V2 on Tuesday December 29th at 7.30pm EST.
Live from IIWII in New Jersey - this will be a Thursday show like no other before it!
Our new friend Bartees Strange (side note: it’s only a matter of time before we are opening for Bartees) and our old friend Jim Ward (from ATDI / Sparta / Sleepercar) agreed to provide impeccable support sets. With the opening bar set so high, we knew we had to plan something different and special for our Thursday set.
We got on the phone to a few of our musical heroes and asked them would they come and sit in with us. To our utter delight they all said yes!
Frank Iero, who opened up the 2017 holiday tour with his solo band and invited us out to California last December to play the “return” show of MCR, is reprising his Signals V1 role on a few tunes. Norman Bannon from Texas Is The Reason will also be on hand to expertly school us on “how it’s done”. Walter Schreifels from Rival Schools and Quicksand (we will never forget the 2018 Australian tour with Quicksand as a career highlight) will be on hand to lend his magnificent talents to the event program. Finally, the Fire Deuce himself, Mr. Travis Stever from Coheed and Cambria, will leave you hypnotized.
Expect songs you might not have heard in a while, good stories, a lot of holiday cheer and some very special surprises.

As with Signals.V1, there will be a limited amount of unemployed tickets and merchandise available for free to those adversely affected by the current circumstances we find ourselves in. We know Thursday fans are the best and will stick to the honor system here! We were shocked by how many people donated tickets to strangers on V1 so we are also adding the ability to pay an extra $2 on top of your ticket price and will use that money to fund more free tickets and more free merch for those like us that have seen their best laid plans change drastically.
The show will run from 7.30pm EST on December 29th and then will be available as VOD from midnight. The on demand will run right through to January 1st with the last showing starting at 9.00pm.
We are so happy that we will be able to play for you this holiday season and as we enter 2021, we want you to remember…………THIS YEAR WILL BE BETTER THAN THE LAST.

Pues no controlo esas rarezas o caras-b. Así que para mí genial porque es como material "nuevo".

Pues no se que sacarán o si tienen cosillas ocultas que aún no hayan salido (De hecho en su día, ya sacaron el "Kill the house lights" que era directo + demos y rarezas).

Comentaron en su día que algunos integrantes tuvieron problemas por ello. Creo que es algo que cualquier grupo medianamente conocido puede llegar a tener problemas, teniendo en cuenta la facilidad para usarla y conseguirla y acostumbrarte durante giras y tal.

Está claro, pero no deja de sorprenderme viniendo de un tio como Geoff Rickley, que siempre había parecido un tio muy sanote. Pero supongo que son cosas que ni se ven ni se llegan apreciar...

En cualquier caso me alegro por él que haya sido capaz de superarlo e incluso tener la libertad de poder contarlo abiertamente.

Ya ves, que temones. Siempre me extrañó que la homónima no entrara en el disco. Aunque de las que están no me sobra ninguna, de mis discos favoritos de ellos.

Lo de que vendía licuadoras y se encontraba a los fans en la tienda del súper y le preguntaban: "¿pero qué haces tú aquí?", eso sí que lo recuerdo Voy a ver si recupero esa entrevista que la tengo por aquí en casa seguro.
