I decided to take another step on this Quarantine Sessions thing. Let's make whole songs with musicians friends doing their magic on them.
For this first song, we got Sergio Valdehita playing piano, Fernando Moreira doing your new favourite guitar solo (it's like Greg Ginn of Black Flag playing classic Rock 'n' Roll, people!) and Payom Bigp and Daniel Rivarola singing their hearts out
Enjoy!
Another Quarantine Session paying tribute to the great talent that was mr. Adam Schlesinger. The first Fountains of Wayne album is one of my all time favourites, so here it is. Sink to the Bottom feat. Dani Llamas (G.A.S. DRUMMERS), Guillermo Martínez del Camino (Bridges to Nowhere), Afri DeLarge (Swampig) and Hale Jandro (Third Strike)
This week we pay tribute to Social Distortion's 2004 masterpiece "Sex Love and Rock 'n' Roll". And what a line up we have today: one of the best guitar slingers in the land, mr. Mario Cobo, Payom Bigp and Pelayo Gonzalez.
Enjoy!
The rockingest cats in the galaxy. That's right. That's what the Stray Cats are. Welcome to yet another cover of a rnr classic, today with the help of Elena Poza with her kick ass voice, Dave Álvarez killing it on the double bass, David Pardo Reina (original Custom!) with the keyboards and Shakin' David setting his guitar on fire.
Enjoy!
We are entering the final lap of the Quarantine Sessions, friends. For the last two episodes we are going out with a bang.
So here's Gudbuy T'Jane by the great Slade, with two proper rock stars: Shakin' David in his second quarantine appearance and Mr. Kurt Baker.
Let's go!
Here's the final Quarantine Session, friends. As you may or may not know, I'm from Madrid (and as madrilenian as can get, let me tell you). Our city's been hit hard by Covid-19 and today is our local feast, San Isidro. So, what better way to end up this than with our local traditional music style, a chotis?
Historically, Madrid is a city that absorbs (and I think that welcomes) a lot of people from other places. I really think when you have lived in Madrid for like ten minutes you can call your self a madrileño. So it's not strange that in this line up of 100% Madrid rock 'n' roll craftsmanship we got friends from Texas, Galicia and Salamanca.
Brace yourselves, 'cause today we have Tweet Capmany smashing the drums, Payom Bigp and Fernando Moreira bringing their A game for the third time and the great Paty Critter singing you what's what in Madrid.
Thanks so much for the support you've given to these songs!
Today is Nick Curran's birthday. This is a very special day for us as a band and this year we wanted to do something special. So we re recorded our "Baby You Crazy" cover and made a cute little video, directed by the one and only Afri DeLarge
Here you go!
