Bienvenido a la secta. El homónimo es insuperable. Y encima el debut.

He hecho mi debut en el foro de Amplier, basicamente he explicado que la culpa de la invasión de tierras ibéricas por parte de la pérfida albión manchesternina es culpa de Puxo.

Como ya comente antes, es un EP que publicaron hace nada con sus primeras DEMOS que grabaron, de esas demos saldrían temas para el homónimo (y que obviamente no las han puesto en el eternity).

No es mal el EP, pero vamos, es mas bien para fans coleccionistas.

Vamos, el 31 de enero lo tendréis, y antes de que acabe el año si todo va bien yo lo tendré, junto con 3 vinilos y un album con más de 50 páginas.

Ya estamos otra vez en un caso similar al de Steven Wilson y su álbum en solitario.

Pertenecerá al 2011 seguramente, por el hecho de que lo podrás comprar por internet en ese año, y las revistas y todo el mundo no lo tendrán en 2010. Creo que mas o menos será así.

Vamos, que saldrá el disco 2 años después de haber creado este post

Acabo de recibir un email con información jugosa, para empezar esto:



2 horas de música como ya comenté hace un tiempo, amazing.

3 años haciendo este álbum, 3 años de duro trabajo, en fin, después hay grupos que se tiran 4 años para sacar una mierda y que encima dura poco jajajaja.


El email además dice la fecha de salida del pre-order y cosas como esta:

THAT EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO BUYS THE OCTOPUS FROM US WILL HAVE THEIR NAME INCLUDED IN FUTURE EDITIONS OF THE OCTOPUS.
This isn’t a joke. We are deadly serious. This is because we want you to become part of The Octopus. It isn’t just a record – It is an entity and a kind of experiment. All future editions will have every single person who is part of it listed alphabetically in it. Hopefully this list will eventually swamp the book. That would be very cool indeed.
There are other elements to this experiment. They will be explained in the future.

Y aquí los dos tipos de pre-order que se podrán hacer:
I’ll explain these.

1. Firstly there is the special edition of The Octopus. This is limited to 500 copies. We won’t make any more of these because they are horrendously expensive to manufacture.
This is a 70 page, Foiled Leatherette Hardback book, featuring 2 CDs (they all feature 2 CDs!) The text is nice and big and it’s printed on unfinished recycled paper, so it feels like a book – not like CD packaging. You can really see the details in Paul’s artwork. There’s even a page marker so you can come back to your point later without creasing the pages. This is the proper full version of The Octopus, which is really the best way to experience it.
These will be £25 + postage and packing.
Because these books are valuable and few in number, we will insist that all orders that include this edition are sent by special delivery in the UK and Airsure to the rest of the world. This will attract a further £5 charge. It’s better to be safe than sorry.


2. The other one is the digipak version. At the moment we have 1000 of these. These are a double CD presentation pack – like when you get a fancy DVD. It’s difficult to compress a 70 page book down to fit into this, so what we have done is reworked the graphical element of The Octopus into the digi-packaging, and then shrunk the text to fit into an 8 page booklet. It still contains the complete text, but it is reduced in size to fit. It is still easily readable unless, possibly, you’re a bit drunk. These will be £15 + postage and packing.

Resumiendo, el primero llevará un libro con 70 páginas y creo que algo más que aún no han especificado ( y si no recuerdo mal yo lo tendré firmado). 500 copias por el momento.

Y el segundo es un digipack normal. 1000 copias de momento.

Yo opino lo mismo que tu, pero cuando puse el Insurgentes en la lista de 2009 no fueron pocos los que me recriminaron que pertenecia al 2008, y se trataba exactamente del mismo caso.

2 horas?!! ya les vale hacer alguna buena mierda, xk aguantar 1 disco de 2 horas kreo ke todavia no lo ha conseguido nadie conmigo.

Es casi imposible que un album te atrape durante 2 horas, para empezar ya es dificil encontrar esas 2 horas sin que nadie te moleste xD

La verdad es que muchas de las canciones casi son un álbum en si mismas, Forever and More (gran acierto acabar con esta), The sick Rose, Trading dark matter... o the Octopus son temas inmensos, con estructuras enrevesadas e infinidad de detalles y matices como para escucharlas "después de otra canción y antes que otra", no se si me explico.

Estoy intentando que este se convierta en el tema estrella del foro de Amplifier: cuando nos llegue el libreto de 70 páginas debemos olerlo? y voy más allá... podemos comernoslo?
