Soundgarden - King Animal (13 de Noviembre)

yo si lo de soundgarden va en serio, preferiría que peral jam buscasen otro batera. al fin y al cabo la esencia del grupo va a seguir ahi, mientras que en sg es insustituible

Yo creo que Pearl Jam este año se lo van a tomar de relax, según he leído por ahí, se van a dedicar a proyectos paralelos (Brad, Soundgarden,Eddie en solitario...)y que no tenían pensado publicar en 2011.
Por un lado es bueno, porque liberan a Matt durante la gira de Soundgarden, por otro... no se si puedo aguantar tanto tiempo sin disco y gira de Pearl Jam!!!

Parece ser que Thayil ha comentado en una entrevista que Soundgarden podrían grabar material nuevo algún día:

Canadian radio station “The Edge” interviewed Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil a couple of days ago, here’s a recap I wrote of some important things he said:

Kim said that when rehearsing there has been some jamming, because it is natural for them. He said on occasional there have been lyrical ideas. He said he’s not confirming anything, but he said it isn’t possible for the four of them to get in a room and not jam. He said maybe before a rehearsal or after a rehearsal they drift off into jamming. He hinted that it is very likely in the future that they will start writing, maybe sooner rather than later. He mentioned how Chris/Matt may have different musicial interestests from Kim and Ben.

Kim also mentioned Matt’s primary commitment is Pearl Jam and that other members are working on solo projects but this is definitely the thing they’re most excited about. He said they’ll “do other shows” and work on releasing albums deeper in their catalog like B-Sides and a live album they hope to have out by the spring. He said the reunion came together because they wanted to relaunch their website and release merchandise and take advantage of the market and how it’s changed. He said they wanted to put out records they always promised to put out, like “another retrospective” and B-sides which may be released through multiple albums. Then they said maybe they should jam and play a live show, maybe get together and work on some new material, often in between Matt’s “busy schedule” with Pearl Jam.

There were no hints at a tour during the interview.

Por un lado de puta madre, porque hasta ahora no había directos oficiales del grupo y caerá si o si... pero por otro me empieza a dar miedo que esta sea la dinamica a partir de ahora, en plan sacaperras...

joder, dadles tiempo. si van a hacer disco nuevo y quieren estar a la altura de lo esperado, tiene q haber mucha presión. y mejor que sea así

no desconfio de su talento (en los 90) ahora no lo se, pero el que tuvo retuvo dicen... desconfio de Cornell y sus ideas para hacerse millonario. Eso si que me da por el ojal. Y me joderia que los otros tres, a los que tengo en un pedestal y los considero unos tipos integros se dejaran arrastrar por el bailongo este a base de recopilatas, discos en directo y bla,bla,bla,bla... grrrr, yo quiero a Soundgarden de vuelta, con temas nuevos, cosas nuevas y no quiero a un grupo de versiones de Soundgarden formado por los miembros de soundgarden.

ok, estoy de acuerdo, pero sabes tan bien como yo lo que cuesta hacer algo medianamente decente, imaginate la obra maestra que se les demanda

desde el 96 a ahora.... 15 años??? hmmm, no creo que se les pida tanto. Simplemente con que saquen un disco y se vea honestidad y algun buen tema con maneras y ganas... no creo que este el tema para esperar un superunknown hoy en dia, sinceramente. Mas chungo lo tenia Jerry sin Layne y ha salido mas que airoso.

no te equivoques, mas chungo lo tienen sg. ¿por qué? pk los discos de jerry conservaban su esencia, mientras q cornelio ha dado tumbos que van desde lo solamente decente (audioslave) a lo indigno

cornell tiene que remontar una autentica arrastrada por el fango, pk ademas ha sido muy grande, y grande ha sido la caida

asi q dales tiempo, coño! ademas, esto sale mientras puede que esten componiendo ya. o maquetando canciones. o grabandolas. quien sabe

pues sere yo solo que simplemente me espero un disquillo con buenos momentos, algun gran tema y poco mas, y una gira por festivales, algun que otro local de medio pelo para fans y salas tipo razzmatazz para el resto... nada mas. Los tres de filipinas son muy buenos, esta Cameron para hacer el panoli con el Cornell a estas alturas, sabes??? pero no nos equivoquemos, los grandes temas de SG vienen firmados como You make me sick i make music, y ese ya sabemos quien es... y no me espero una puta mierda pinchada en un palo de ese. Ojala saquen discazo y tal, pero vamos, que con algo digno y una GRAN GIRA me vale.
