Chelsea Grin have officially parted ways with their guitarist Michael Stafford. Born Of Osiris‘ Jason Richardson has been tapped to fill in for the immediate future with the band offering the following statement:

“Michael Stafford has recently decided that the hectic touring lifestyle is not for him, and among other personal reasons, has decided to step down as the lead guitar player for Chelsea Grin. This may have been obvious to a lot of you as he hasn’t been with us since the All Stars Tour, but he has given us his final decision recently and we must move forward.

Jason Richardson (Born of Osiris, ex-All Shall Perish) will be filling the position until further notice. Jason is one of the best guitar players around, and with us already being such good friends, he is more than a perfect fit. 2012 is going to be huge for us, so make sure to come out and see the new and improved Chelsea Grin!”
