I have just received my copy of the german Visions music magazine (I´m a subscriber).I might add some more info or translate some passages later one if someone is interested but here are some news for you to start with:

- The heaviest songs are Hivemind and Warranty
-"The heaviest blues song" is Acidic and it reminds the music journalist on Alice in Chains and Soundgarden
- Medicine for the Dead remindes the music journalist on bands like Rush and Opeth
- Overall the album is very melodic and mid-tempo and the music journalist thinks that Yen represents the record very good and that a certain fanbase has to be very brave...

"A record that works like a radio play. It's an apsect that Slipknot have mostly only tried at song length on previous albums, which then often garnered the most critical praise. On We Are Not Your Kind, for example, the song Spiders stood out in a similar way, here, on the other hand, the suspense is to be kept at full distance. A schematic diagram of the album would probably amount to a pyramid-shaped structure, with the heaviest songs HIvemind and Warranty in the middle. They are also equipped with a more expansive instrumental arsenal, which is probably largely due to the initiviatve of Jim Root."

Anyone who recently missed the sheer brutality of their early works will be more than happy with various numbers on Slipknot's seventh album. The super-aggressive groove "The dying song (Time to sing)" and the hardcore punk "The Chapeltown rag" should make nostalgics go into raptures. The heaviness is unbelievable. And that with crystal-clear, transparent sound that really puts you in a good mood, especially over headphones or at full volume in the car. But then there are also the much more experimental moments that give "The end, so far" its fascinating complexity. Outstanding pieces are the thoughtful, hymn-like parts "Yen", the slow-psychedelic and yet very intense "Acidic" or the unusually calm and melancholic, at times new-wave opener "Adderall". Highlights of the disc are "Medicine for the dead", cleverly combining the two extremes. and "De Sade," which features an epic chorus and a totally insane guitar solo.

Justo me dijo ayer un amigo que el fraseo de "The dying song (Time to sing)" es puro "(sic)". Y tal cual.

Joder, pues es verdad! Que pepinazo el homonimo. En su momento no habia escuchado nada tan loco y enfermizo en la vida.

Es que tienen todo el rollazo. Siempre he fantaseado con un set en directo con sus temas más lentos, largos y enfermizos. Claro que a los fans más casuales les joderias el bolo

Prosthetics no funciona en directo. Ni ninguna de ese estilo, al menos en la actualidad.

Scissors la tocaban en su día, y eso era un show. Ahora duermen a cualquiera.

Gently siempre me ha parecido una barbaridad. Me sorprende lo poco que se menciona.
