Cleveland, Ohio metallers CHIMAIRA will release a DVD/CD set, "Coming Alive", on July 20 via Ferret Music. This unprecedented release includes a four-part documentary filmed over the course of a year and a half while the entire package includes over seven hours of exclusive content. The DVD, filmed entirely in HD, showcases CHIMAIRA in the studio while recording its latest album, "The Infection", and chronicles the band's recent, worldwide touring season.

According to a press release, "Coming Alive" is an in-depth look into CHIMAIRA's life and music in the studio and on the road. Not only does the DVD set include this amazing documentary piece, another section, "Chimaira Xmas: Live Concert Film", celebrates the 10th annual CHIMAIRA Christmas show in Cleveland, Ohio, which took place on December 30, 2009. 13 HD cameras capture CHIMAIRA releasing their fury for their hometown crowd on a dark and snowy night in December. Bonus features on the DVD include a 45-minute "Resurrection" "making-of" documentary, a 40-minute home-video documentary of never-before-seen moments, and a live CD featuring 17 tracks recorded at CHIMAIRA's December 30 Christmas show.

¿Hay alguien que lo critica o qué?.

Pues no tuvo una buena acogida por estos alres. Y yo soy al 1º que no le hizo mucha gracia, porque era demasiado denso pero no tardé mucho en engancharme a él y fliparlo de lo lindo.

Deseando ver el dvd y verles de nuevo en directo que hay muchas ganas

The Infection me pareció un discazo que no se valoró como es debido en su momento, aunque a mi desde el primer dia que lo escuche me pareció un discazo, pero entiendo que ese cambio hacia un metal más rocoso y denso echara para atrás a los fans más hardcore de Chimaira.

Hay muchas ganas de ver el set del DVD, nunca he visto a Chimaira en directo, así que me podré hacer una idea para cuando llegue el momento, además, pinta de lujo.

Todas son buenas noticias si vienen de Chimaira. Lo unico flojo es el setlist demasiados temas del primer disco, el peor de largo.
El infection a mi tb me parece un discazo, aunque inferior a los 2 anteriores.

A mí es que chimaira me flipan. Tengo todos sus cd's originales y también el dvd. Así que este nuevo dvd en cuanto esté por play iré al ataquer

Yo conseguí su primer disco firmado por 5€, ahora que habláis de ellos xD.

Otro dvd ahora? si, todo lo que venga de Chimaira son buenas noticias, pero yo hubiera esperado otro disco aunque sea despues de haber sacado el otro hace no mucho..

Del set-list yo tambien hubiera cambiado algo, como meter alguna otra del Impossibility en vez de las del primero, pero tampoco esta mal.

Y si, aqui otro al que le gusto el Infection.. asi que tampoco disgusto tanto no? si, los 3 anteriores para mi tambien fueron mejores, pero sigue siendo crema.

Hostia, es verdad.. ahora mismo pensaba que era mucho mas reciente..

Pues guay, vi ayer la noticia y el set-list me parece bastante majo la verdad, sobretodo el regalito de Implements al final, me quedé con las ganas de que la tocaran la ultima vez que vienieron a la Salamandra en Hospitalet...

Por cierto, The Infection es un discazo del copón, como todos los de Chimaira (yo también los tengos todos originales Eyeless xDD)

Exacto. A mi no me disgustó pero creo que le hacían falta un par de temas más rapidos, el ritmo en general era bastante lento y pesado. Pero vamos, que esta gente no suele fallar
