me aburrí tanto con su segunda entrega, que creo que es otra de esas banda que jamas volverán a brillar, ..... en fin, ..... no deberia perder la esperanza, pero el rollo revival 70s está mas sobado que la polla de Ron Jeremy !!!

Estoy contigo en que el todo eso del revival de los 70 esta trilladisimo, pero aún asi siguen saliendo discos muy buenos... has escuchado el último de Graveyard, por ejemplo?

Claro, es que a los Graveyard aun haciendo lo que hacen, se les ve otra intención, más personalidad, en cambio Wolfmother los veo como un grupo que "quieren llegar a ser como.." .

Cuando escucho el Huevo irremediablemente me lleva a LZ.

Y que conste que me molan, porque aun pecando en eso, me parece un grupo con bastante criterio a la hora de hacer buenos temas.

si hicieran mas videoclips como en el primer disco seria debuti con los espejos y cosas mas curradasespero que no se hagan comerciales como ls mars volta

me pasó igual, me sonaba reiterativo y sin personalidad. que tampoco es que la tuvieran a raudales en el debut, pero... no se, las canciones son buenas, pero está todo como demasiado calculado... echo en falta algo de magia. y no tengo nada en contra de los grupos que suenan retro, de hecho witchcraft siguen sonando en mi equipo con cierta frecuencia, tienen ese algo que me hace volver. y el huevo no.

ahora, del primero tb me cansé cagando hostias, demasiado facilon. si entra tán rapido suele salir con la misma rapidez

Veo que a muchos no os gusta el huevo cósmico. Si que es cierto que está por debajo del anterior, pero es que el anterior es una puta obra maestra y va a ser dificil de igualar...Y ese es el problema, que se compara con el primero...Pero si lo miráis sin comparaciones y objetivamente no es un disco malo...Es más creo que es mejor que muchos cd's de rock alternativo (No digo grupos porque me matáis, pero bueno...)

Sobre wolfmother, fueron los que me abrieron el panorama musical a los 16 años (4 añetes y ya me estoy volviendo más melómano día tras día :3) y a la vez me sirvieron para empezar a decir que disco me parecía más interesante que otro (con su segundo claro ejjejjee)

Odio a Mike Patton: una por meterse con Wolfmother y dos, por creerse un poser-death metal cuando su música en la época era el hazmereir de los thrashers y extremos...Me parece tan ridículo el rollo poser...Y que encima sea un artista quien lo siga...Si me dijeras coldplay vale, pero wolfmother...

Tema que están presentando durante su gira europea, y que me imagino que es un adelanto de su nuevo disco:

Following Wolfmother’s 2009 sophomore Cosmic Egg awkwardly falling outside of the pan, the group are planning to release its follow-up after a nearly half-decade break, with their only remaining original member Andrew Stockdale announcing that LP3 is nearly finished: “We are so close to having this record completed.”

As The Music reports, in a recent interview with Brisbane street press, Time Off Magazine, lead singer Stockdale suggests the band’s future plans and approach to recording a new rock album (under the working title of ‘Gatherings‘). “It’s been about 15 months of on-and-off recording in about four or five different locations… We’ve mixed and mastered about eight of the tracks, and there’s probably going to be about 12 tracks that end up on there.”

With widespread success many can release a sigh a relief with the singer also playing down expectations of an over produced radio pleaser. ”I’m aiming for a record full of songs that trigger off your imagination and you drift off with the record, as opposed to the kind of record that’s exciting for one or two songs or after one or two listens you get that feeling that there’s nothing left to explore there.”

With irregular yet impressive performances spaced across the year, Wolfmother’s new live setup has seemingly met the singer’s high expectations. “At the moment we’ve got Elliot Hammond from The Delta Riggs in the band and he’s playing a lot of congas, bongos, percussion, and harp so we’ve started bringing songs like ‘Love Train’ back into the set, and with all the instrumentation it’s just a total trip.”

The singer is also characteristically confident about their newly crafted sound, adding “In the past it’s been like, ‘Don’t worry about that backing vocal, don’t worry about that part there. Can you sing? No, you can’t? Okay, we don’t need that part there then’. You kind of make all these compromises when you’re playing live and now we’re like, ‘Let’s stretch it out, get the full panoramic view of these records and make them live’. And that’s really refreshing for the set”.

Wolfmother’s is set to ring in the new year in Queensland, at Brisbane’s Eaton Hill Hotel, playing their last show of 2012 with support from Nine Sons Of Dan, Miacarla, and Goodnight Midnight, before presumably hunkering back down in the studio to polish off their third studio album.

Scepticism, egotism, and the past aside (Stockdale’s biting the hand that feeds by slamming Triple J comes to mind), the Wolfmother frontman’s got a proven track record for penning some fine tunes, and not for nothing voted in at #8 on Triple J’s ‘Hottest 100 Australian Albums of All Time’ poll.
