Yo creo que alguna nada mítica de la H8000 caerá, sektor, spineless,congess.....aunque creo que tendrían que meter más old school clásico, que los últimos años entre hardcoretas modernos, beatdown perdonavidas, y heavys frustados, el festival se ha desmadrado de lo que en si era el vort ´n vis

Liar fue lo peor, creo que fue en gorliz, en el xurrut, o en edaska,muy mal....congress fue en gorliz, pero en el bash festival, junto con stamping ground, afterlife, born from pain (que raro) y demas bandas, eso molo y mucho ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

Hay que pensar que el mundo ha cambiado mucho. Y claro que mola ver carteles de Ieperfest cuando era el parking y no habías grupos modernos (estilo Parkway Drive, BMTH y ojo que algunos me gusta, pero Ieper era otra cosa). Es normal que el festival se haya querido expendir. Ahora mismo es imposible hacer el pre-fest en el Vort'n'Vis porque no cabe. El primer año que fui yo, que fue en 2006, ya estaba petado que tocaron No Recess (antiguo grupo de gente de Oathbreaker) y no sé quien más, que no se podía ni entrar. Al año siguiente ya cobraban entrada a todo el mundo (los años anteriores los que tenían la entrada del festi iban gratis) y no sé si ya no se hizo en el Vort'n'Vis y al otro ya se hizo en el recinto del festi, así que imagínate el festi en sí. Muchas bandas del H8000 ya ni existen, Goodlife, Genet y todo eso ya no es lo que era, y tampoco sacan bandas nuevas que digas, la hostia. Tampoco tocan bandas españolas ya, proque aquí tampoco hay bandas de hardcore merecedoras de ello.
Para todo esto está el Fluff Fest ahora que no hay grupos modernos, pero no es lo mismo que Ieper en sus años.

liar fue en el xurru y fue una mierda. pense que seria un bolo malo, pero años despues, en eieper, dieron el mismo bolo de mierda. congress en el bash como, aunque no era el cantante mitico y venian sin bajo. pero ya con la formacion mitica en ieper arrasaron.

HELLBASTARD (UK) // UK crust punk veterans, founded back in 1985. Together with those other legends AMEBIX, they might even be the founders of crust punk as a genre.
SYDNEY DUCKS (US) // San Francisco, California punk. Described by themselves as San Francisco geezers, paying homage to the sounds and the city they love! Think TEMPLARS crossed with IGNITION.
WITHDRAWAL (US) // Dirty metal infused hardcore, signed to A389 Rcs. This might have been a mid 90s H8000 band! Think CONGRESS, SEKTOR, CATHARSIS, INTEGRITY, etc. Faith, Flesh and Blood!

CONGRESS (BE) // Triumphant return of H8000 kings CONGRESS to the stage after a hiatus of 6 years. A 20th anniversary would not be complete without the reunion of these legends. This will be the only summer festival appearance of the band and their first show in years, so don’t miss out!

FOR THE GLORY (PT) // We are pleased to welcome our Portuguese friends of FOR THE GLORY on our birthday party as well. Formed 9 years ago, this band has always done stuff DIY and are now one of the biggest hardcore bands southern Europe has to offer!

SICK OF IT ALL (US) // Oooooow shit. This is finally happening! After 20 years, NYHC legends SICK OF IT ALL are finally playing Ieperfest! Let’s make them feel like never wanting to leave Ieper again!

A STRENGTH WITHIN (BE) // Hard working Belgian hardcore band formed 3 years ago in Leuven. This band is living proof that you don’t need a fancy booking agent to tour the world. A STRENGHT WITHIN was the first Belgian hardcore band to play shows in South-East-Asia. For fans of NO TURNING BACK, GUNS UP, NO WARNING and TERROR.

THIS IS HELL (US) // Long Island, New York’s THIS IS HELL will not be going down in history for standing still. Formed in June 2004, they made an immediate impact on the hardcore scene and have since shown no signs of slowing down!

FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND (UK) // Welsh post-hardcore band that has been going since 2001. Heartfelt melodies and lyrics for fans of STORY OF THE YEAR, SILVERSTEIN, etc.
REIGN SUPREME (US) // Philadelphia’s hardest and heaviest. Led by former BLACKLISTED member Jay Pepito on vocals, they wield the same devastating musical hammer as bands like TERROR and INTEGRITY.
SHAI HULUD (US) // When the metalcore genre was in its infancy, there were four bands that everyone was copying: The DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, CONVERGE, POISON THE WELL and SHAI HULUD. The latter were formed back in 1995 and we gladly invited them for another Ieperfest performance.
SKARHEAD (US) // Based in Queens, New York, SKARHEAD defines its own music as thugcore. Fronted by the legendary Lord Ezec aka DANNY DIABLO. SKARHEAD played the festival 4 years ago as well, so welcome back!
VACCINE (US) // Negative sxe violence from Boston featuring Will of ORCHID and AMPERE fame. Releases on Clean Plate and Painkiller records!

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY (US) // Founded 30 years ago in Raleigh North Carolina. Many changes later, COC’s original trio is back with a self-titled release on Candlelight rcs. Iconic band, glad to have them on stage for our 20th anniversary edition!
EYEHATEGOD (US) // The list of legendary acts celebrating our anniversary with us just doesn’t stop! EYEHATEGOD was founded back in 1988 in New Orleans, Louisiana. They are known for their dark, sludgy riffs combined with equally dark lyrics.
KYLESA (US) // Since this Savannah, Georgia quintet first formed in early 2001, worrying about genre limitations has never been a priority. While KYLESA are as heavy as any band out there, they are beholden to no one scene. Second time at Ieperfest.
MAN VS HUMANITY (DE) // Formed in the summer of 1997, MAN VS HUMANITY called it a day 4 years later, days before they were supposed to perform at Ieperfest 2001. They reformed in 2010, and 11 years after they were first scheduled to play, they will finally be hitting the Ieperfest stage. Stoked!
NEMEA (BE) // Ostend’s answer to MASTODON is set to release an EP on Kuato rcs this June. This band is full of hard-working, excellent musicians and fully deserves a slot at this year’s Ieperfest. Check them out and get into the groove!
NORMA JEAN (US) // Atlanta, Georgia metalcore/mathcore five piece formed in 2000 under the name LUTI-KRISS. They changed their name one year later to avoid confusion with rapper LUDACRIS. Life is all about fun facts
SCRAPS (FR) // Legendary Northern French HC/punk act that hasn’t been around since ages. With the idea of releasing a discography LP, also came the master plan to offer them a slot for an exclusive reunion show at Ieperfest #20. Can’t wait!!

7 SECONDS (US) // Legendary hardcore punk band formed in 1979, fronted by the legendary Kevin Seconds. We surely wanna bet they can top the splendid set they performed at Ieperfest 2010!
