In This Moment frontwoman Maria Brink has decided to go nude for the groups new single “Whore“. The image released for the single can be seen below with Brink claiming she isn’t using her sexuality as a marketing tool.

In the past Brink has been quoted saying that she aims to take back the word ‘whore’, giving it the meaning of “Women Honoring One another Rising Eternally”. Speaking on her decision to forgo clothing in the below promotional picture, she stated:

“I decided to pose nude for the visual art for ‘Whore’ to evoke a raw vulnerable emotion. The word Whore written down my back, and the dunce cap symbolize me placing myself on the stake for those who are suffering and I can only hope to encourage at least one person to find the self worth and love they deserve to transcend out of a painful situation into a beautiful one.

It is about finding our power and taking a stand. We are resilient beings and need to realize our incredible strengths. I will not bow down to others perceptions of me; I will only rise in the name of art, love and music.”

Se les ha ido de las manos la sobreexplotación sexual de su cantante, que no lo intenten disfrazar ahora de culturetadas.

Jaja, pues a mí me encanta el zorrerío que se llevan, es que hasta en las letras no se cortan un pelo y el título del single nuevo ya flipas Es curioso como algunas me dan pena siendo tan zorras (la hannah montana) y en otras como ésta me parece algo muy auténtico. Por cierto, en la foto se intuyen curvas tocinas, abajo la anorexia!
