Taylor: "As excited as the fans are, I am just as excited, if not more excited, to get this album out, so people can hear it. It is a fantastic piece of work. I'm really proud of it. I love the music. I haven't stopped listening to it since we started recording it — this is going all the way back to the demos, man. And I just love what we've been able to do. It's dark, it's moody, it's artistic, it's heavy as hell. There's some brutal screams on it, but there's also huge melodies on it. I can't tell you how stoked I am that we were able to pull this off, man. Especially, just from a personal point of view, telling the story that we need to tell, which is essentially the last four years, and everything that we've gone through since losing Paul [Gray, bass]. This album was too important to rush in and do, and I'm glad we took our time and really made sure that it was time to make it when we did. And the proof's in the pudding, man. I can't wait for people to hear it."

On whether the new album is a full-on lyrical tribute to Paul Gray or a record that was just made in legacy and in honor of Gray:

Taylor: "Oh, it's both. It's definitely both. There's a handful of songs on the album that are about Paul. There's a bunch of songs just about the band and everything that we've been through in the last four years, all the emotions that we've had to deal with, the reaction from the world. I mean, it really kind of covers the bases, as far as what this band has been through. A lot of people have no idea what it's been like. You don't understand it. So for us, for me, especially, as a lyricist, being able to tell the story and tell it as honestly and as darkly as I've been able to, I'm stoked for people to hear it."

Sigue el ninguneo a Joey. Y yo digo que no va a haber un batería fijo. Es mi apuesta. Un tío tras una careta que irán cambiando cuando les plazca.

Cuantos más se piren, más espacio hay para que todo gire alrededor de Corey.

A mi me la sopla la parte rosa del grupo mientras el disco esté guapo y la parte más heavy se coma a la más melódica ( habrá que verlo )
Lo que si digo es que espero que Corey se haya estado cuidando la voz porque los últimos conciertos sueltos que han hecho en festivales ha estado muy flojo. De todas maneras la tendencia desde Iowa de los conciertos creo que ha sido a la baja claramente.

yo qué sé. yo tengo mis días con cada uno. supongo que el más flojo es el AHIG.

¿De verdad eso sigue siendo un criterio para determinar si un disco es bueno o malo? Me suena muy de primeros del 2006.

Yo creo que cuando el que ha dejado la banda era un miembro activo en el proceso de composición, no es tema rosa, más aún si citan "todo lo que ha pasado estos cuatro años" como principal inspiración del disco, y lo único que parece haber ocurrido es que se les ha muerto uno. JÁ!

Iowa es insuperable.

En realidad, los únicos que cambian de máscara suelen ser Sid, Corey y el payaso.
Los demás siempre igual.

Eso mismo dije yo unas paginas atrás. Mucha expectación pero es que quitando dos o tres, todos llevan la misma mascara de siempre quitando un par de detalles.

Es que la cosa es esa. Dos de los principales compositores ya no están, y los que quedan son Corey y Jim, que son los que manejan el cotarro en Stone Sour... Luego ya te puedes hace una idea de por donde puede ir la cosa...

Clown también pinta y mucho en el proceso de composición del grupo. Otra cosa es que Corey sea el que más peso tiene ahora que Joey y Paul no están.

Estoy hasta los webos de que Slipknot vaya sonando cada vez más y más a Stone Sour.

A ver si con este nuevo disco me chapan la boca en ese aspecto.

Algunos os haceis pajas mentales solo con 2 putas canciones

A lo que me refiero es que por experiencia toda la vertiente más cafre de slipknot me gusta mucho más que la melódica.Ya con los adelantos vuelve a pasar: the negative one a día de hoy la sigo oyendo dos, tres veces al día porque me flipa y devil in I ni fu ni fa.

Siendo la diferencia entre los dos primeros ínfima

El que se crea que va a haber más canciones ''bestias'' que melódicas...se va a dar muy fuerte contra el suelo xd

Y luego cuando salga el disco saltará el típico ''ufff esto suena a stone sour...'' ''no volverán a hacer un iowa'' entre otras perlas xd
