“Beginning this week, we have started tracking our sixth full-length studio album. It has been a long road over the last 10 years to get to this point and we are excited to show you the next progression of Whitechapel.”

Me huelo a un cambio considerable en el estilo

Pues parece que algo de razón tienes...

It looks like Whitechapel‘s forthcoming new album will find numerous members of the band taking some chances. Guitarist Alex Wade recently told Revolver:

“I’m not gonna say the whole record is chuggy, but a lot of it is. And there are also passages that have a lot of atmosphere, as well as clean parts that let the songs breathe before we come back with something really heavy. If you’re playing really fast and you try to throw in a bunch of different guitar parts it just sounds like mush. But when you’ve got one guy barreling right down the middle and the other two complimenting the riff, it opens up new opportunities.”

In addition to broadening their guitar pallette, it looks like frontman Phil Bozeman will also be trying his hand at some clean vocals:

“We all thought it was really cool how Randy [Blythe] from Lamb Of God wasn’t afraid to try some manly melodic vocals on their last record [VII: Sturm und Drang]. So Phil’s diving into that a little and seeing where it goes. He’s actually got a great singing voice.”

Recording sessions for the effort recently wrapped with producer Mark Lewis (Cannibal Corpse, DevilDriver). A summer release on Metal Blade is expected.

Si, el The Somatic Defilement. Pelotazo

A mi el último me gustó bastante, tiene unos riffazos gordos gordos. Los primeros temas son brutales.

Clean vocals? puede ser interesante...

Esta gente nunca me ha terminado de convencer... a ver si con este lo hacen.

Voces limpias y Whitechapel no pueden ir en la misma frase. Van a irse al garete joder!

Los dos primeros discos... esos son los discos de esta gente. Por cierto, ahora que se habla mucho de Deftones...

A ver los 3 primeros son perfectos. Luego el self titled un dia me gusta otro no xD y con el último me volvieron a ganar.

No me ha gustado demasiado, nula evolución, parece sacada del anterior disco pero bueno.
